I’ve never been much of a gambler. My policy is that I can’t afford to lose so why play. However, there is a little game of chance I like to play that only costs me time if I lose and the odds are usually slanted in my favor. I call it subway roulette. A packed train pulls into the station and you have to decide to board it or take your chances that there’s an empty train right behind it. Sometimes it beats me but this morning I beat the G train.
