Gadget madness and disposable income make for a dangerous combination. I already own a 40GB Ipod but when this little beauty, the Mobiblu DAH-1500i, came out I had to have it. My justification, when I download new albums they tend to get lost in the vastness of my Ipod cause there’s no easy way to see recently added stuff. Flimsy? Yes, but it worked.
The 1500i(aka cube) has 1GB of storage which translates to 10-15 albums depending on MP3 quality. Perfect for recent downloads plus some older stuff from my collection. The real attraction though is its size, 1 inch square. It’s unrealistically small, my earphones with their cord take up more space than the cube. You don’t give up any functionality in exchange either. It displays song title, volume, battery level, file type, equalizer setting, track number, file quality, track length, and total tracks on its OLED screen. It also includes a voice recorder and FM radio.
I’ve had the cube for almost two months now and I’m very pleased with my purchase. The only blemish so far was a little trouble yesterday(froze on a track) but I re-installed the firmware and everything seems fine. So if you’re in the market for an MP3 player and size is a factor, you could do a lot worse than the cube.
