My brief stint as a knitter has taught me a very important lesson. A lot more of the artist goes into their creation than I ever realized. I always knew the artist’s concept was there or whatever they were trying to say but it goes much further than that. The current moods and thoughts of the artist flow through their hands and into their creation as they work. It adds this whole subconscious contextual layer beneath their concept. I tend to take things at face value so it was really eye opening to make this connection.
