The Straphangers Campaign is a non-profit public interest advocacy group in NYC. They stick up for those of us who commute on the city’s subways, trains, and buses. One of their free services is a weekly email summarizing the scheduled subway diversions. I’ve been using this service for months if not years as it’s very useful. Anyway, I finally felt guilty enough about using it to make a donation. I wanted to make sure they didn’t sell/exchange my name with other organizitions so I sent them an email asking about it. I got a very nice response from Charity Carbine, their Field Organizer. Is that not the most awesome name? I thought it might be made up but it’s not cause I checked it. I want to start a band called Charity Carbine now.

Ps. In case you’re wondering what the best made up name is it’s Maximilian Wolfram.
