I think most of my posts about living in NYC have trended towards the positive but I need to take a moment this morning. The day started well enough, I woke up next to the woman I love. Always a plus. Drinking coffe with her in the morning is one of my favorite things in the world and the homemade biscotti was a nice bonus. Things were still going well when I left for work. I had amazing bus karma, it was coming down the road before I got to the stop and the driver saw me and pulled over. That doesn’t happen often enough. The bus ride itself was even better cause I got to knit a few rows on my scarf. However, my good morning ended when I got to the “L” train. It absolutely sucked. After taking way too long to come, the first train to arrive was grossly overcrowded so I waited for the next which was only slightly less crowded. Things took a bit of an upturn when I got the “4/5″ train but it didn’t last long. I needed cash so I stopped at my bank’s ATM but first the door to the booth had to break my earphones. Thanks a lot ATM, what did I ever do to you? The final blow was breakfast. I think I could eat a sesame bagel with cream cheese everyday for the rest of my life and die a happy man but this morning it looked like someone had stomped on it. It was put together all wrong and the cream cheese was everywhere. I’m not sure what I did to deserve all this but I sure hope I’ve paid my dues. Thank you for reading my rant, here’s a baby seal.
