Words Escape Me

I’ve always known Canadians were different what with the niceness, socialized free healthcare, clean cities and all but this threw me for a loop.
Canadian milk comes in bags.
On the one hand I can appreciate the significant reduction in waste but milk in a bag? There’s something inherently wrong with that. It’s like the time I discovered the soup they serve in our staff cafeteria comes in a bag.
Liquids belong in vessels not bags. Done.

that, somehow, is vile. there must be some sort of container in the bag, right? the milk’s not just sloshing around?!

no container, just a bag. at the store you get a bag with four one liter bags inside. i must stop saying “bag” now.

You put the milk bag into a special “plastic milk container” that has a handle (looks kind of like a watering can) and cut a small corner off the bag! voila! They even sell milk bag cutters.
You can get the smaller sizes in the cartons.

well…just think of it like this…out of one bag into another and into another bag…

Interesting. I wonder if it’s supposed to be more eco friendly or something. Plastic doesn’t break down, though, does it? So cardboard would still be the smarter alternative. Not that anyone here uses that either.
Fascinating.

BAG……….I don’t need no stinkin bag!!!!
To all of those I have never met before I am “nextstopwillbe”‘s cousin…or cuzin, depending on your basic orgins.
Canadians, want can I say. I was married in Canada and received with the utmost of kindness.
Despite their affilation with “bags o milk”
On a personal note to Michael and Estyn, I feel more personally enriched by my encounter with Estyn. I mean anyone who can withstand a family, scratch that, dysfuntional, drunken family encounter right off the bat is a Player.
To met a true kindred spirit with a scope of imagination is a miracle.
To all best wishes and I will continue to monitor your blog.
