That’s right, thenextstopwillbe is officially one year old today. What happens at twelve months, developmentally speaking? Starting to stand and/or walk? Would I be talking yet? Maybe some simple words, like “blog”? Solid food? Probably would still be pooping my shorts.

I think that pretty well describes where I’m at with this thing. My first post was barely a complete sentence and now I can write whole paragraphs and stuff. I’ve tried a few different experiments, some worked. Some not so much. I’ve ranted and raved. Documented some important events and some less so. Given a cooking lesson, offered advice on reducing junk mail, and even blogged a visit to my dentist. All told, not too bad for a year’s work.

I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to my readers for tuning in and a DOUBLE THANK YOU for those of you who have left comments. I’ll do my best to keep things interesting so you have a reason to come back. Year two, watch out.

Ps. A big shoutout to WordPress for making this possible. The built-in “Search” function over in my sidebar helped quite a bit while writing this post and d*mn if it doesn’t work really well. Open source rocks! (The geek in me will simmer down now)
