This is a very special post because it’s the first one that I’ve ever written on a Mac. And not just any Mac, MY Mac. That’s right, I’m the proud new papa of a 2Ghz Macbook. Woo hoo!! I posted about wanting one back in the middle of August and thanks to a little freelance work and some judicious saving, I was able to purchase one.

I’ve always been a PC guy and as such, I’ve remained on the fence about the whole “which is better Windows or Mac?” debate because I’ve never had any Mac experience. I look forward to settling that argument for myself as I learn how to use this puppy. It’s been a very long time since I’ve had to learn a whole operating system and I’m excited by the opportunity.

I’ll tell you what though, just from a hardware perspective alone, the advantage definitely goes to Mac. This laptop is freaking gorgeous! Simple design is usually good design and the lines on this baby could not be any cleaner. It’s like the Movado of laptops. PC’s look positively troglodytic by comparison.

Anyway, as you can tell I’m very excited about my new baby. I should probably take a bunch of pictures of it like any new father. Then I’d have the chance to learn how to use iPhoto.
