To-do List Update
Posted by thenextstopwillbe under Whatnot
Making some progress on my blog To-do list so let’s review.
1. Post - Not everyday yet but improving
2. See #1 - Ditto
3. Post more photos, old or new - Not yet
4. Create a new poll - Check, see over there —>
5. Update “Morning Song” as often as possible - Check
6. Start using “Categories” to denote different content - Not yet
The photo item bears a little ’splaining. I haven’t shot any photos in quite some time so that’s one problem. The second, and as I see it, bigger problem is all my old photos live on my pc. It has mostly gone neglected since the arrival of my Macbook so I don’t work or post from it. And finally, I haven’t yet figured out how to use iPhoto for cataloging and editing my pics. Now that I have a handle on the photo issues I think I can start tackling them so stay tuned.
I’m not really sure how I feel about the “Categories” issue. Is this something I need? Would it interest or help my readers? This blog is about whatever tumbles out of my head so how do I define that? It vexes me and therefore requires more thought.
It wasn’t on my To-do list but I’ve been looking at adding some new features to thenextstopwillbe. Wordpress has a ton of plugins for adding new functionalities and I found one that I liked but I’m still sorting out the bugs.
The plugin is called “Related Entries” and it searches through all my previous posts and appends related ones to the post being looked at. You can see it in action on my subway post from below if you click here. I’m trying to figure out how to get it to work on the Home page as well. I think it’s a pretty cool little plugin and it works fairly well so please check it out.
I’ve never been one for making lists. “Winging it” is my mantra but the results speak for themselves so maybe I should make it a habit. Just to be safe though, I wouldn’t hold my breath. ;o)
Ps. This posts reminds me of an item from my grandmother’s fridge. It was a roundtuit and it looked a bit like this. I remember missing the joke as a young child and someone had to explain it to me. Good times.

I have a round tuit, too. Can’t say work issues have improved, but it makes me smile every time I think about it.
No lists???? Inconceivable. I am a list queen (surely there IS such a title).
