I’m sure that’s fine for some but how about the patience of a rabbi?

There’s a really nice story in the NY Times today about special rabbis, called sofers, who restore Torahs. That’s all 304, 805 letters. By hand. With a turkey feather quill. And handmade ink.

As if that’s not impressive in and of itself, should they make a serious enough mistake then they have to start over. The mistake could be as simple as a drop of ink in the wrong place. Wow! I think I’ll stick to computers where I can just reboot if things get messy.
