High Eight Us(Say it all together)
Posted by thenextstopwillbe under Whatnot
Things will be very quiet around here for the next two weeks as I’m going away on vacation. Not that the last two weeks haven’t been quiet but at least I have an excuse for the upcoming two weeks.
*E* and I are off on a trip to Europe. There’ll be stops in Scotland, England, France, and Spain. The majority of time will be spent in the south of France in a small town called St. Marsal. Here’s a little peek at the town. It’s located in the Pyrenees which should provide some nice hiking opportunities and plenty of relaxation. How do you say “Oh, I see it’s wine-o-clock.” in French?
The best part is we’ll be traveling to St. Marsal from London by train so that means we get to go through the Chunnel. I’m very excited about that! It’ll probably be an underwhelming experience but I don’t care, it’s the Chunnel!
It should also be really nice to see much of the French countryside from a train window. I’d never traveled by train until I moved to Brooklyn and it was here that I discovered it’s a super pleasant way to travel. Certainly beats air travel aka flying cattle cars.
Anyhoo, lots of pics when I get back and hopefully very few stories of me unintentionally insulting the locals. But I’m not making any promises on the latter.

I’m telling you, the best grrilled cheese ever in the ‘bar car’ of the Eurostar! (disclaimer: it was the best grilled cheese in 1999…how it holds up is entirely dependant on the strengths and weaknesses of the new EU standard)
Plush seats are a plus as well.
