Cravings of a Slightly Embarrassing Nature
Posted by thenextstopwillbe under Whatnot
I’m craving a lunch from my youth that would cause any nutritionist to blanch but I don’t care. I want an Oscar Mayer bologna sandwich with yellow mustard and a slice of Kraft Singles on Mrs. Baird’s white bread. This must be accompanied by Lay’s potato chips. And for dessert? Tough call, a Twinkie or Ding Dong seem the obvious choice but I gotta go with a Little Debbie Nutty Bar. The craving itself doesn’t include a drink but a Dr. Pepper feels right. Now excuse me while I clean the slobber off my keyboard.
Ps. Lay’s are also the perfect accompaniment for a PB&J. Now if you’re talking grilled cheese then I highly recommend Fritos.

Ah, yes…those old comfort food cravings. Bunny Bread worked fine…and no Kraft singles on mine. My dessert of choice would have been chocolate cake with no frosting!

What you made me think of-
Cold Ding Dongs (foil wrapped, thank you)in the right crisper drawer at Mamaw’s.
My Mom (or Aunt Kat or Sue) writing the list of cheeseburgers/hamburgers on a paper plate on Saturday night.
Good times, Cousin.

You, Pinknest????
For me, a pickle was involved–it had to be one my mom made in a pickling crock that she let sit for days and days. Can’t get a pickle like that now (unless I made them myself, which I’m not going to do).
