“We must not become complacent over any success”

and

“An unexpected event will bring you riches”

Portent has negative connotations in my head so I looked it up before putting it in the title of this post. From Dictionary.com, “an indication or omen of something about to happen, esp. something momentous.” Riches definitely counts as momentous so I used portent appropriately. But what kind of riches, that’s the question.
