A co-worker upgraded the RAM in his Macbook Pro to 4GB because RAM is really cheap right now. I mentioned that I only had 1GB of RAM in my Macbook so he offered to sell the original 2 x 1GB sticks that he took out of his laptop for half the retail price. I wasn’t sure if they would fit so I brought my Macbook in to work today to try them out. Lo and behold, they fit. Sweet!

The two sticks of RAM that I bought from him cost me $20 and I still had my original 1GB stick. I was quite happy to increase the RAM for such a good price but it gets better. Another co-worker was looking for a 1GB stick for his Macbook so I sold him my spare one for $10. My Macbook now has double the RAM and it only cost me $10! Cool!
