Escalator Etiquette

1. Stand right, walk left. It’s only four words so please try to remember it.

2. Take up two steps if you choose to stand right, preferably with one foot on each step. This will keep you out of the personal space of others and them out of yours.

3. The exit of the escalator is a place for decisions not questions. If you don’t know where you’re going, leave the area immediately around the exit and find a nice out of the way spot to figure out where you’re going.

I’ve always known Canadians were different what with the niceness, socialized free healthcare, clean cities and all but this threw me for a loop.

Canadian milk comes in bags.

On the one hand I can appreciate the significant reduction in waste but milk in a bag? There’s something inherently wrong with that. It’s like the time I discovered the soup they serve in our staff cafeteria comes in a bag.

Liquids belong in vessels not bags. Done.

Today’s weather was mild and breezy in Brooklyn. The conditions were so nice I decided to go up to the roof and snap a few pics after enjoying some quiet time on the fire escape with an iced coffee and a good book. It feels a little illicit being up there but that’s half the fun.
